The Zstor CIB224V2 Storage Server series is based on INTEL® Skylake 2U height unit platforms with two independent computer nodes with CiB (cluster-in-a-box) capabilities, enabling transparent failover between both nodes. CIB224V2 systems offer excellent reliability and high packing density, making them the ideal choice for building Microsoft Storage Spaces solutions. As a fail-safe CiB solution with RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access) over Converged Ethernet (RoCE), the Zstor CIB224V2 Cluster-in-a-Box Server offers the best software-defined storage solution based on Microsoft Windows 2012R2 / 2016 / 2019 Storage Spaces.

Flexible network configuration including Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA)
With a large selection of different NICs (Network Interface Controllers) in OCP or PCIe format from 1G/10G Ethernet (RJ45) to 10/25/40/50/100G Ethernet (SFP+) a high flexibility and performance of the network is achieved. Optional Mellanox NICs with RDMA capabilities provide a technology to bypass the network path of the operating system and allow direct access to the memory of the other storage server with less CPU load, lower latency and higher throughput.

Applications in continous and reliable operation
The use of power supply redundancy and hot-swappable node design allows a more reliable and fail-safe operation. The hot-swappable modules simplify the service and maintenance of the server in the data center.
