Zstor 2-Node HCI solutions are low-cost, small, hyper-converged appliances designed specifically as integrated computing, networking and storage infrastructure. They are nearly linearly scalable to simplify and maximize the deployment of Microsoft applications, virtualization, data protection and hybrid cloud services. They are designed to optimize the full scope of Storage Spaces Direct within Windows Server 2016/2019 to make software-defined storage as shared nothing storage affordable to everyone.
GS2N devices can be designed with low-latency NVMe SSDs or INTEL® Optane® SSDs as cache and with a choice of SSDs and HDDs to an all flash or hybrid storage with maximum performance and capacity. They are available in 1U or 2U rack configurations. All systems are pre-installed with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or 2019 operating systems, pre-configured and upgraded to the latest release status on customer request, so the solutions are ready for use immediately. The nodes are switch-less directly connected via dual-ported 25GbE RDMA Ethernet adapters. When using 2 nodes, the use of an Ethernet switch can be dispensed with, thus offering enormous cost savings within the solution. Nevertheless, the solution is scalable and can be expanded to up to 16 nodes by adding additional nodes and Ethernet switches.
